Palpation of the supinator muscle

Place the subject’s elbow in 130-135° extension and in pronation. Identify the radius from the radial head downwards. Identify the ulna from
the olecranon downwards. The supinator muscle is known to lie in the interspace between radius and ulna, between the elbow and mid-forearm. Ask the subject to supinate and resist this attempt. Contraction can be felt.
