Myositis Ossificans

After a blow to the arm, an intramuscular hematoma can occur. Pain, swelling, and impaired muscle function are common. In spite of early treatment with ice, compression, and rest, the injury may be
complicated by bone formation within the muscle secondary to the hematoma.
